Delaware Epidemiological Reports
The Delaware Epidemiological Profile is produced annually on behalf of the State Epidemiological Outcomes Workgroup (SEOW), a network of stakeholders that promote the use of behavioral health data for prevention, strategic planning, decision-making, and evaluation. The Delaware Profile highlights indicators of mental health and wellbeing, patterns of substance use and its consequences, and risk and protective factors. It also highlights crosscutting issues that warrant attention as well as populations that may experience disproportionate risk for these concerns. This resource draws upon over 30 data sources, such as the Delaware School Survey, the Treatment Episode Data Set, the Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System, the Youth Risk Behavior Survey, the National Survey on Drug Use and Health, the National Survey of Children’s Health, and more to provide an overview of behavioral health in Delaware.
What’s New in the 2023 Delaware Epidemiological Profile?
The 2023 edition of the Profile has been streamlined to increase its user-friendliness. It includes 12 modules on key behavioral health topics and as well as protective factors. There is also a Companion Guide that describes the purpose of the SEOW and the annual profile, a list of data sources, and notes on data reporting and interpretation, pandemic impacts on data collection, and word choice.
