Youth Tobacco Survey (YTS)

About

Delaware’s Tobacco Prevention and Control Program conducts a Youth Tobacco Survey (YTS) in public middle and high schools in even-numbered years. The YTS is a collaborative effort of the Delaware Division of Public Health and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The study is conducted for the program by the Center for Drug and Health Studies at the University of Delaware.

The YTS provides data for planning, implementation, and evaluation of effective programs to prevent and reduce tobacco use in Delaware.  The survey is administered anonymously to a random sample of students from grades 6-12 in all school districts.
